Beginning Monday, April 13, a new programming block on VPM Plus will include teacher-led classroom instruction aligned with Virginia’s SOLs. The programs are designed by Virginia educators to reach all students, regardless of their access to high speed internet.
The teacher-led shows will air 1 – 3 p.m. Monday – Friday, during the Learning Plus educational TV block on VPM Plus. [Find My Learning Plus Channel]

- Learn to Grow with WHRO
- 15 minute Standards of Learning-aligned segments led by teachers
- Provided by WHRO Public Media

- 2 p.m. || 7 – 10 Instruction
- Science & Math
- SOL-aligned content focusing on Earth Sciences and Algebra

On April 27, “VA TV Classroom” will add a special hour from 3 – 4 p.m. called AP Prep Week, with content provided by Virtual Virginia in collaboration with WHRO focusing on a different AP subject each day.
“VA TV Classroom” is a Virginia public media collaboration with Blue Ridge PBS, VPM, WETA and WHRO Public Media.
