Pick of the Week: Garden Glow at Maymont

Garden Glow at Maymont

The Japanese Garden at Maymont is a wonder to behold in the sunshine, but for the next two weeks it will also be a breathtaking display at night.

Garden Glow is an annual event in which this Richmond gem is illuminated by colorful lights to add a magical radiance to its natural beauty. Visitors can stroll the winding paths to admire the garden’s carefully cultivated horticultural elements, such as bald cypress, bamboo and Japanese maples, all bathed in vivid color from the lights below. The garden’s water elements, including koi ponds, streams and a flowing waterfall, will sparkle with the reflection of hundreds of colorful lights. Family-friendly activities and entertainment will be available on select nights.

Garden Glow will be on display from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. each night from October 26 to November 10.

Tickets are required, but children age 3 and under are admitted for free.
