While enjoying the fresh air on a quiet evening, you have probably heard the peeps, croaks and ribbits of nearby frogs and toads. But how much do you know about these amphibians in your midst? Do you know how many different kinds live near you, and what their ecosystem is like?
What Is the Oldest Thing Ever Found on Earth
We can find a lot of old stuff here on Earth. Original vinyl records from the 1950’s, ancient ruins around the globe, fossils of extinct animals, and so on. We sure have collected a lot of interesting things here on Earth in the time that this planet has existed.
About Science Matters
Science Matters is a multi-media educational initiative of VPM, Central Virginia’s PBS & NPR stations. Through our “big loud voice” of Radio, Television and the Web, we strive to inspire our community to value science and to understand its importance to our future. We couple excellent national PBS and NPR content with compelling locally produced segments which feature community partners involved in exciting Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) activities in Virginia. Our community outreach events and our new Science Matters Community Events Calendar are additional vehicles for engaging audiences of all ages in ongoing discovery and exploration of all things science.
