How Does Science Support Wearing Masks?
Science is often a great way to find solutions to modern day issues. We've figured out how to easily communicate with folks around the world, 3-D print parts for a space station, and through many contributions have increased the quality of life in many places around the globe. The novel coronavirus though has given us a whole new challenge. Top experts are busy working on a vaccine, but till then what do scientists around the world suggest we do?
About Science Matters
Science Matters is a multi-media educational initiative of VPM, Central Virginia’s PBS & NPR stations. Through our “big loud voice” of Radio, Television and the Web, we strive to inspire our community to value science and to understand its importance to our future. We couple excellent national PBS and NPR content with compelling locally produced segments which feature community partners involved in exciting Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) activities in Virginia. Our community outreach events and our new Science Matters Community Events Calendar are additional vehicles for engaging audiences of all ages in ongoing discovery and exploration of all things science.
