As technology advances, we see easier and easier ways to monitor our health. The needle in the skin approach is still necessary for a lot of biometric measurements, but that could change thanks to some clever thinking and a new invention.
Local Students Compete in Intel International Science and Engineering Fair
These Richmond-area high school students were among 70 students from Virginia who attended the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF). They joined more than 1,800 students from over 80 countries, regions and territories at the ISEF in Phoenix, Arizona, in May.

Through our “big loud voice” of Radio, Television and the Web, we strive to inspire our community to value science and to understand its importance to our future. We couple excellent national PBS and NPR content with compelling locally produced segments which feature community partners involved in exciting Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) activities in Virginia. Our community outreach events and our new Science Matters Community Events Calendar are additional vehicles for engaging audiences of all ages in ongoing discovery and exploration of all things science.
