About the Event
If you’re a K-12 teacher looking for fun and free professional development about coding, you’re in the right place! RVA ScratchEd, sponsored by Science Matters, brings educators together to explore how coding can be a fun enhancement to any lesson, from spelling to physics.
The next RVA ScratchEd will be on January 29th, and teachers will explore Scratch, a free online coding tool that allows students to create and share interactive media about the things they learn. This is a great platform to reinforce classroom lessons and also encourages creative thinking and collaboration.
A light dinner will be served, and lively group discussions are guaranteed. No coding experience is required. Just bring your laptop and your curiosity, and get ready to explore something your students will love to learn.
It all happens on January 29 from 4:45 to 6:45 p.m., at the VPM Studios.Find out more and register at this link.
