Dr. Kidada Williams, host of VPM’s popular new podcast Seizing Freedom, offers an interactive, online conversation for American history educators exploring ways to teach a fuller history of America’s post-Civil War Reconstruction era.

Joining her are panelists Executive Director of the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation Christy Coleman, Executive Director for New American History at the University of Richmond and VPM’s Future of America’s Past host Ed Ayers, and Director of Education and Outreach for New American History Annie Evans.

Participants will be encouraged to ask questions and share ideas with each other and the panel. VPM will provide all participants access to resources that support teaching a more inclusive American history.
