About the Event
February is Black History Month and February 22 is George Washington's birthday! Join George Washington, VPM PBS KIDS and families with children 4 - 7 y.o. to explore fun adventures of Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum, learn about real-life historical heroes including Rosa Parks, Eleanor Roosevelt, Leonardo da Vinci and George Washington, and enjoy the premiere screening of Xavier Riddle and The Secret Movie: I Am Madam President at the Virginia Museum of History & Culture, 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. on February 22. In the Xavier Riddle series, Xavier, his sister Yadina and their friend Brad face a problem and turn to the Secret Museum to help them solve it. The museum allows them to travel back in time to meet real-life historical heroes when they were kids. They witness pivotal moments that shaped iconic people and learn important life lessons along the way!
Any Kid Can Be A Hero! Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum take a fresh and accessible approach to teaching kids about historical heroes and the experiences that shaped their lives, while exploring social-emotional concepts and character skills such as courage, resilience, and setting and accomplishing goals.
