Reginald Chapman is a bass trombonist, bass trumpeter, tuba player and composer. He grew up in Richmond and played for years with No BS Brass. In this episode of Checking in, Reginald discusses the trajectory of his career including his time at UI Urbana-Champaign and the last two years playing in New York. He talks about how he has been imoacted by the pandemic and how he has stayed productive and found opportunities to continue making music.

He discusses his journey into jazz, his compositional influences and how the pandemic has impacted his life and music.
