Live for Live Music
There’s something about seeing a live show out under the stars or in the warm summer sun (*note--not the humid/dusty/sticky skin kind of summer sun) that is really just a great part of the season. When everyone is grooving to a band or musician and just feeling the beats gliding over you like a summer breeze, you can’t beat it in my experience.
Of course we’ve probably all had some bad experiences at concerts (I’m short, so don’t get me started). But on this week’s show, it will only be positive vibes and great live tracks. Plus, you can listen on your porch or in your backyard and imagine you’re seeing a show.
We’ll start off with a couple of tracks from Harry Belafonte from his nightclub days (remember, I said you’ll have to imagine all these as being outdoor shows.)
From there, we’ll morph into other live songs from the likes of Angelique Kidjo, Paul Simon, Mexrissey and more, including Gov’t Mule who partner with Toots Hibbert.
