Trumpeter Mary Bowden has been a member of the Richmond Symphony for over 15 years.  She recently joined me during a broadcast of "An Hour with the Richmond Symphony" to talk about her music career and discuss the Symphonic Dances by Sergei Rachmaninoff.  Besides her orchestral playing, Mary is highly regarded as a soloist and educator.  She frequently collaborates with her husband, trumpeter David Dash.  Mary is also a founding member of both the Seraph Brass and the Chrysalis Chamber Players.

"An Hour with the Richmond Symphony" airs Friday afternoons at 5:00PM on VPM Music, 93.1 and 107.3 FM.

Yours in good music,
