Virginia Opera Performs Puccini's "Tosca"
Virginia Opera is back in town this weekend, performing Puccini's "Tosca" at the Carpenter Theatre, Friday evening at 8:00 and Sunday afternoon at 2:30. "The king of operatic tragedy introduces us to the opera diva Tosca, her artist lover, and a very corrupt chief of police. Rome on the verge of military invasion is the scene, and Tosca the tale of a lethal love triangle that leaves no one standing, and all the low and high notes along the way."
Artistic Director Adam Turner stopped by our VPM Music studios with company members Matthew Vickers (Mario Cavaradossi) and Joshua Arky (A Sacristan) to discuss this latest production.
Yours in good music,
Classical Music Host, VPM Music
