Why We’re Polarized
Political journalist Ezra Klein does not believe America’s political system is broken. In his view, the truth is scarier than that: he says the system is working exactly as designed. Over the past 50 years, he says partisan identities have merged with racial, religious, geographic, ideological and cultural identities, and this has created a toxic system that is tearing at the bonds that hold together the country.
