VPM Daily Newscast: April 28, 2020

Coffee shop open during pandemic
It's a small thing - and mostly reflective of my good fortune - but the thing I miss the most during the coronavirus outbreak has been having the chance to take a leisurely walk with our 16-month-old and just stop somewhere for an espresso as a special treat. When I found this Museum District coffee shop open last weekend, it was the first time I bought one in weeks. What about you - what's changed in your daily life? What do you miss? Let me know over email or on Twitter with a photo, and I may feature it in the next news cast article. (Photo: David Streever/VPM News)

During the coronavirus outbreak, VPM is running a daily newscast of our reporting, hosted by Benjamin Dolle. Episodes are recorded at 6 p.m. and released for 7 a.m. the next day, Tuesday through Friday.

Today's newscast has: shooting range wins right to reopen, GRTC bus drivers stage a walkout, Ramadan celebrations commence remotely - and more.
