Let's Make Pork Chops with Apples!
Un-Wine'd host Tassie Pippert shows us how to prepare Pork Chops with Apples. This pork chops with apples and onions dish is a deliciously light and flavorful meal that's a perfect weeknight dinner.
- 4 thick cut pork chops
- ½ c.Flour
- 2 eggs, beaten with 1 T. water
- 1 c. Panko
- ½ c vegetable oil
- 4 tart apples, large chop
- 1 large white onion, ½ inch slices
- 1 1/2 T. Dijon mustard
- ¾ c. Reisling
- 2 c rich chicken stock
- 2 thyme sprigs
- 1 rosemary sprig
Dip the chops in flour then egg. Coat with panko.
In a Dutch oven, brown pork chops in oil. Remove to plate and rest.
Lightly saute apples and onions for three minutes in the same pan where you cooked the chops.
Add mustard and stir through.
Deglaze the pan with Reisling then add chicken stock.
Bury the chops under the apples and onions in liquid.
Add thyme and rosemary and bury the herbs in the liquid.
Bake at 350 covered until pork registers 165 degrees.
