Virginia Home Grown Season 19 Premieres March 26

Virginia Home Grown, the live local TV program that explores the delights and challenges of gardening and growing in Virginia, returns for a 19th season. Host Peggy M. Singlemann and Co-Host Pat McCafferty interview experts and enthusiasts from around the state.

In the first episode of the new season:

  • Learn how to bring the garden inside by designing and building a terrarium with Peggy and guests Karen Kelly and Art Chadwick.
  • Pat  takes us to The Orchid Station in Barboursville, VA, a family run orchid nursery.
  • Ben Kessler of Farfields Farm in Afton, VA will present the Plant of the Month.
  • Peggy’s Tip from Maymont offers a method for removing invasive Ivy from a tree in a way that protects its vascular system from harm.
